Will Fleischhauer is a first-year master's student at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, studying clarinet performance. He began his musical journey in the sixth grade in central Texas and has been playing the clarinet for fourteen years. Will’s true passion for music began at an early age. Hearing a recording of Sharon Kam playing Mozart inspired him to pursue music and the clarinet. He earned his undergraduate degree in music education from Texas A&M University-Commerce in Commerce, Texas. During his senior recital at the university, he gave the world premiere performance of simple things for Clarinet and Piano by Keaton Marek.
Throughout his career, Will has excelled in numerous performing ensembles and has held principal positions. In his private studio, many of his students have successfully placed in the Texas All-State bands. He remains dedicated to teaching, and continues to bring in new students to share his passion for music, the clarinet, and education. As a performer, Will is currently taking auditions to build his experience while completing his master’s degree.
Outside of music, he enjoys spending time in nature, going on adventures, and caring for his cat, Alice.
